Alderwood Community Church just completed a youth expansion wing and the installation of lighting, sound and video equipment.  Once the room was on line the cinderblock walls really became a problem.  The approach in this room was to absorb the energy not aimed at the seating area.  Banners were employed to absorb direct and reverberant sound from the main speakers.  Wall panels were hung on the wall behind the band and mix positions to improve the environment for the youth band and sound person. 

Regarding the project Dave Ballbach (Administrative Pastor) said,

"Following your instructions, we had instant success with redirecting the sound to improve intelligibility.  Everyone was happy with the results".
